Miriam Korner

Miriam Körner is an award-winning children’s book writer and illustrator. Originally from Germany, she fell in love with the land and people of Northern Saskatchewan 19 years ago.

When she is not out in the land by dog team or canoe, Miriam loves listening to stories about life on the land and has collaborated with Elders on several art projects to bring those stories to young children.

Her writing and art expresses her love and concern for the natural world. She lives with her husband and their twelve sled dogs in a small cabin tucked into the bush.
