Myles Charles

A Cree born in 1938, a Lac La Ronge Indian Band member. Age 7 to 12 hospitalized for TB in the hip, had hip and left leg problems throughout life. To pass time in hospital began sketching comic book cartoons.

Nancy Lafleur is a Cree woman who was raised on the northern shores of the Montreal Lake in the small communities of Molanosa and Weyakwin. Nancy’s connection to stories is anchored in the lands she grew up on.
